Firstly, I want to drop a heads up about this weekend. Bump & Hustle, Jamie Coughlan’s monthly night at The Elbow Room in Shoreditch returns this Saturday. Both myself and The Popcorn King will be joining Jamie Coughlan as his guest DJ’s. So if you’re in East London drop by and join us for what should be another great night.

It’s been a while since we had a guest roll through these parts, so I’m really pleased to not only fill that missing gap but also to fill it properly with a brand new contributor with some seriously heavyweight records.

Marius Zahl Johnsen is a long time DJ, collector and record dealer from Oslo in Norway and owns the sort of grail standard 45s I often dream about! Having recently played at several prominent soul nights around Europe, I’ve managed to pin him down for a guest mix. If you (and I’m pretty sure you’re going to) enjoy this you should be able to catch Marius Zahl Johnsen spinning at Jamie Coughlan’s monthly night Bump & Hustle on Saturday 13th June. A date, judging by this mix, that definitely needs penning in your diaries.
