Welcome Back!

With the hump that was Monday nicely out of the way, I thought I’d roll by here to drop another hunk of the ‘Good Stuff’ on you all. A big thanks to all who managed make it down to La Havana Bar in Chichester, West Sussex for our monthly Hook & Sling gathering last Saturday. A great crowd which also saw the dancers out in force for another highly enjoyable evening of Funk and Soul.

Thanks also to one of our regulars, Kieran who provided the great photos of Saturday. Be sure to check the gallery tab at the top of the page, as I’ll be uploading more of them over the next couple of days.

I have also just scored well over 130 new 45s in the last couple of days from various contacts, once I’ve managed to sort through, clean up and organise everything, you can expect several new mixes here so don’t venture too far.

So onto the real business today! As previously mentioned in a post not so long ago I’ll be hooking up with Disco Fran and El Guiri from my old Betterdays crew as guest DJ’s for this Saturdays Bump & Hustle (11/07/2009).

It’s being billed as a Bump & Hustle Vs Betterdays special and continuing with his recent trend of bringing in top notch guest Djs, Jamie Coughlan will be more than evening up the teams with the addition of DJ Alena, who will be joining us all the way from Moscow, Russia.

This conveniently coincides with a special two part guest mix which finally materializes after being in the pipeline for sometime now (sorry for being so slack Alena!!!). But as they say all good things come to those who wait, and I can assure you both parts have been well worth the wait.
